Michelle Andringa

Sometimes life deals a difficult hand. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, defeated, or unsure of next steps, I can help you find direction and hope.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, trauma, grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and stress. My approach is warm and collaborative. I center therapy around my clients’ unique needs and goals, integrating practices from attachment theory, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and polyvagal theory. I am also trained in EMDR.

Couples often come to me when they feel disconnected, resentful, or misunderstood. In our work together, I recognize people often get stuck in relationship patterns that develop over time. I use emotion focused therapy to help  partners identify the cycles that cause distress and build a path toward secure and authentic connection.

I bring substantial life experience to my work. Life has taught me what it means to change careers, be married, raise children, and lose loved ones. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to seek help. Therapy with me offers a safe space where you can feel deeply heard, understood, and accepted for who you are.

Outside the office, I enjoy running, reading, hiking, cooking, and exploring the world with my husband of 30 years, our 3 grown children, and our playful pup Theo.

I hope to meet you, wherever and however you are. Welcome.
